Middle Years

The Middle School years are important transition years for students as they move from Primary into Secondary and Senior education. The Kormilda College curriculum is designed carefully to facilitate this transition and prepare students for the challenges in Senior School.

The College delivers the Australian Curriculum and is seeking authorisation in 2012 to use the framework of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, internationally accredited and widely recognised as an outstanding teaching and learning framework.

The Kormilda Middle Years programme aims to empower students to be the best they can be and prepares students for the rigours of Senior School. Students are encouraged to become leaders through their service to others and to learn key critical thinking skills through the specially tailored curriculum.
