A World of Opportunity

Nganabaru is the Home of the Mighty Buffalo!

Congratulations to Iesha Poyner-Gambley and Luke McAdam Roberts on being elected Nganabaru House Captains for 2016. Both Iesha and Luke are Indigenous boarding students and we are confident they will be wonderful, strong leaders of our house. Welcome also to all of the new students and teachers who have been allocated to Nganabaru and hope that they are looking forward to the year ahead.

Our House Charity this year is Careflight NT. Careflight NT provides rapid response critical care to the ill and injured, usually to people in remote Northern Territory communities. Careflight NT is also to be a partner with Kormilda College in the Australian Teenage Expo being held at Kormilda Campus on 19 June 2016. The event will include many community service providers such as Headspace, CatholicCare and Danila Dilba, and it is our intention to invite all 5000 Darwin and rural senior students.

On the Sports front, we tried valiantly without too much success on Sports Day, but there is still hope with Athletics and Swimming carnivals still to come. It is absolutely fantastic to see the passion and keenness the Primary students have brought to house activities.

Sports Day!

We also have lunch time soccer!
