DriveSafeNT

What is DriveSafe NT?

DriveSafe NT is a driver education, training and licensing program for Territory drivers aged 16 to 25 years available in Darwin, Alice Springs and Katherine. In partnership with DriveSafe NT Remote it will be available in Tennant Creek in the future. DriveSafe NT provides you with the opportunity to gain essential knowledge of road rules, safe driving practices and attitudes, and to access professional driver training to make you safer on our roads.

For Kormilda Students: Monday 18 March & Wednesday 20 March 2013   |   Time: 3:15pm to 6:15pm in Room 24.02 at the College.

Students should advise MVR (Motor Vehicle Registry) that they will be enrolling in the course at Kormilda College on the above dates. The course cost is $110 at MVR on registration payable when you enrol. Enrolment entitles you to more than $600 in subsidies towards your driver licence.

DriveSafe NT program is open to enrolments at MVR offices in the Darwin region, Katherine and Alice Springs (Stuart Highway North). If students have any queries they can contact the College's DriveSafe Coordinator Mr. Marriner.

One upfront fee of $110 is payable when you enrol. Enrolment entitles you to more than $600 in subsidies towards your driver licence, including:

  • All course materials DriveSafe NT Participant Pack
  • Minimum of nine hours classroom-based theory driver and road safety education – Drive 1 and 2 theory classes.
  • Learner (L) and provisional (P) licences and testing fees.
  • keys2drive lesson for the learner and supervising driver.
  • 10 subsidised driving lesson electronic vouchers (e-vouchers) valued at $40 each, to help with the cost of driving lessons.
  • One pre-Vehicle On Road Test (pre-VORT) assessment.
  • First@Scene - St John Ambulance NT online first aid course.
  • Incentives to support supervised driving practice.
  • Access to online tools to track and manage your driver education.
