The Australian National Curriculum is taught under the framework of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IB MYP) – an internationally accredited curriculum approach – from Year 7 to Year 9, and the first year of senior school in Year 10. Indigenous students in the Middle School follow the IB MYP where appropriate whilst focusing on an intensive literacy and numeracy skills program designed to accelerate students to national benchmark levels. Plans are underway for Kormilda College to be accredited to deliver the IB-Primary Years Programme (PYP).
Senior School students have a choice of studying either the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (NTCET), the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or a specialised Vocational and Industry Pathway Program (VET).
