A World of Opportunity

Kormilda Flies the Flag at Barunga

In the second week of this month, 70 students from Kormilda College set off on the five hour journey to Barunga.

We hit the road early to take in the lovely sightseeing trip to the beautiful community of Barunga and arrived at 3pm. After a comprehensive student brief, it was time to set up tents and the camp kitchen and to enjoy the first night’s disco, which was loaded with heaps of fun.
The next couple of days were filled with basketball and AFL competitions, being together, enjoying cool drinks, food, artworks and of course a lot of good music and dancing!

The AFL was definitely Goliath V David, but every player that pulled on a Kormilda Jersey played with pride, passion and determination. Every single player ran their socks off. Well done guys!!
The girls who wore their new Kormilda basketball crocs strip were just edged out of the finals with some thrilling games. All played exceptionally well!!

Many past students came to our Kormilda stall eager to tell stories about their time at the College and were often able to find themselves somewhere in the Tangini.

We congratulate every single student that represented the College at Barunga, their behavior was impeccable throughout the three days.
