A World of Opportunity

Kieran Marchant

My name is Kieran and I graduated from Kormilda College in 2012.
Earlier this month, I attended the Australian Leadership and Excellence Awards (ALEA's) as an NT finalist for the Student category, which aims to recognise the most successful young leaders enrolled full-time in an undergraduate, postgraduate or vocational qualification.
This category acknowledges aspiring leaders who have displayed service to their university, educational institution or community outside of their full-time coursework. Whilst at university, I was involved with student committees, clubs and societies, providing peer assistance and influencing student/institutional issues.
At the Awards evening I was humbled to be awarded NT State Winner of the Student category. I will now continue onto the national finals in October to share my story with other like-minded individuals from across the country.
Coincidently, the previous winner of this Award, Mark Munnich, was also a Kormilda College student, which reflects the high quality of the school's Alumni.
