A World of Opportunity

School Captains' Report, March 2016

As Term 1 comes to a close, we can look back on all the exciting experiences the last few months have brought. We’ve had Sports Day, the World’s Greatest Shave and most recently, Harmony Week.

Throughout this term our SRC has strived to collect and develop ideas on future positive improvement at Kormilda College. This included a uniform survey and the beginning of new improvements in regards to cultural and environmental aspects.

Next term the SRC, in relation with our 2016 house captains, aim to increase and develop relationships between and within year levels. This is especially relevant as we just celebrated Harmony Week. Kormilda College is an extremely multicultural school and therefore values such as harmony and respect are a vital part of our community.

Kormilda College’s mission statement states that Kormilda “Inspires its students to be life-long learners who act with compassion and justice through their understanding of others”. As we head into the holidays and towards Term 2, let us as a school community reflect on this statement and remember to treat those around us with respect and kindness.

We hope you have a wonderful holiday break and look forward to seeing you next term.
