A World of Opportunity

School Captains' Report: August 2017

We hope everyone had a great holiday, but now we are back at school with plenty of work to be done.

So far, this semester has been full of exciting and rewarding events, with a number of our talented students performing at the Darwin Show.

At the beginning of the holidays, a number of Year 11s and 12s helped run the Sony Foundations Children's Holiday Camp. We certainly had a good time, and encourage future Year 11 and 12 students to participate in this enriching experience.

The camps are definitely one of the best activities for students here at Kormilda, and the Year 10s are currently on their camp to Lake Argyle in Western Australia. The Year 9s also recently got back from their camp, as well as the Year 12 Outdoor Ed class completing the Larapinta trail during the mid semester holidays, as well as completing the Jatbula trail.

We would like to wish everyone luck with their school work in this shortened term, and especially our fellow Year 12s who are preparing for their trial exams at the end of it. Good luck!
