Principal: David Shinkfield MA (Edu), DipEd, BSc
David Shinkfield was born and raised in Melbourne, Victoria. He was educated at Haileybury College and Melbourne University and commenced his career at Mentone Grammar teaching mathematics.
After two and a half years at Mentone, David secured a position at St John's School, Leatherhead, England where he had his first taste of boarding school life and the rigorous academic challenge of the A-level curriculum.

Deputy Principal: Helen Spiers PhD, MEd (Dist.Ed), BA, Grad Dip Ed, BEd, Cert IV TAA, Grad Cert Mgmt Dev.
Helen Spiers came to Kormilda College in July 2007 and brought with her more than 20 years experience as an educator in the Northern Territory.
Helen has completed her Doctorate with research entitled ‘Indigenous participation in tertiary education: elements of the institutional learning environment critical for course completion’ and is currently an active researcher with the School of Education at the Charles Darwin University where she is examining Best Practice in Secondary Maths and Science teaching in secondary schools.

Assistant Principal – Pastoral: Dr David Rhodes PhD, MTeach (Hons), BA, MACE
Dr David Rhodes commenced at Kormilda College in 2010. He grew up in Melbourne, and was educated at Melbourne High School, and later completed a Bachelor of Arts (History, Literature and Sociology) at Monash Univeristy. He graduated from his Master of Teaching (Honours) and Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Sydney.He taught in both government and independent schools in Sydney.

Head of Boarding: AnneLouise Cooper RN
Mrs AnneLouise Cooper commenced at Kormilda College in February 2009 as the school nurse. Having operated a successful childcare centre in the UK for 20 years her passion still lies in education and health.
Appointed to Head of Boarding in January 2010 she is responsible for the day to day support and management of up to 240 boarding students.

Assistant Principal – College Operations: Wolfgang Woerner BA Civil Eng, DipEd, MEd Admin, ACEL
In 1988, Wolfgang was seconded from Victoria to assist in establishing Kormilda College as Head of Day School. In 1995 he was the founding Head of the Senior School. During these years Wolfgang completed his Masters in Education (Administration) through Deakin University.
As the School Operations Manager/Assistant Principal since 1998, Wolfgang has been responsible for the day to day organisation of the College, development of the Outdoor Education Camp Programmes, GAP(Global Activities Project), now known as Lattitude Global Volunteering and Co-curricular. Wolfgang also teaches the International Baccalaureate Diploma Physics course and is an Assistant Physics Examiner.
