Accreditation

In March 2006, Kormilda College was officially awarded full CIS Accreditation by Mr Richard Tangye, Executive Director of the Council of International Schools.

With this accreditation we joined a select group of schools worldwide, who have been granted accredited status with the CIS.

During the 12-month qualifying process, we undertook a comprehensive self-study of curriculum and operations that was documented and externally evaluated by a visiting team of esteemed international educators. They analysed both the study and the College in-action over one week.

The team was led by Mr Gail Schoppert, who was formerly the Head of the American School of the Hague and more recently leader of the Governance and Management Training Unit of the European Council of International Schools and Head of School in Rotterdam.

After the visit, a series of recommendations was handed down, and implementation of those recommendations will be monitored by the CIS over the next 10 years.

International Accreditation provides independent recognition that Kormilda College conforms to international performance benchmarks.
